To avoid wrinkles, put your 100-percent cotton percale sheets on your bed right after you pull them out from the dryer. Please note that Overheating cotton sheets may cause excessive shrinkage.

300 thread count more than 50% worse than 603 thread count

The first set of percale split king sheets we bought was really great. Not just the feel of the thread count but the substantial elastic around the fitted sheets, along with strong corner elastic to hold the corners tight when we use the adjustable features on our bed. I went to Egyptian Linens to get a second set of sheets for backup, since I'm about to have major surgery and need clean sheets to replace dirty ones quickly. Couldn't find colors I liked in the 603 thread count and foolishly thought the 300 thread count sheets would work okay. But the sheets are very stiff and noisy when you move, and they have weaker elastic and no corner elastic to help keep the sheets from moving when you roll over or try to slide to the edge of the bed. Final analysis: 603 count rates a 9+ but 300 count rates a 4-.

Percale sheets must be washed in cold water and removed from the dryer when almost fully dry. They should be placed on the bed when still slightly damp. This might seem like a lot of trouble, but if you don't want them to wrinkle, I am simply recommending a way to keep that from happening. You should never throw them in the dryer, turn it on, walk away and remove them hours later. Percale weave is meant to feel "crisp". They allow for cooler air to circulate and do not trap in body heat. That having been said, they soften up after several washings.. They will reward you with years of blissful sleep.

Seem well made. I am a bit disappointed that these sheets seem to hold in heat. I wake up hot. These are also scratchy for sensitive skin. I couldn’t use pillow case because it made my face sensitive. I was SO excited when I ordered these thinking they would be cool and soft. Won’t get them again.
